Growing population could be a big threat to education and health: Ravinder Kaur (DEO Elementary Education)Today, during World Population Day, under the leadership of District Education Officer (Elementary) Ludhiana, children in all primary schools participated in activities such as painting, poetry, speech and drawing about the disadvantages of growing population and presented their views. On this occasion, District Education Officer Mrs. Ravinder Kaur while talking to the press said that as per the instructions of the Education Department, on World Population Day, teachers conducted various activities to make children aware about the disadvantages of growing population. She said that the population of our country India has reached about 144 crores and it is continuously increasing. Due to the increase in population, people are being deprived of essential facilities like education and health. Of course, governments try to provide these facilities to every person by making public welfare schemes from time to time, but still providing these facilities properly to such a large population sometimes becomes a headache for governments as well. Therefore, on such special days, we should make school children as well as the general public aware of the disadvantages of increasing population, so that essential facilities like education and health can reach every person.
